    Onboarding Process

    • If selected, an offer letter will be released on the registered email ID.
    • Share an acceptance of the letter immediately, along with scanned copies of original documents for verification.
    • Appear in the Background Checks & Verification (BCV) on joining.
    • Once HR does BCV, the onboarding stands completed.

    Covid-19 Requirements

    Just to let you know, you are subject to all COVID-19 requirements for Kautilya employees, which include being fully vaccinated for COVID-19, having a valid certificate, and being COVID-19 negative on the day of joining.

    Medical Fitness Requirements

    So that you know, you are subject to providing an original Medical Fitness Certificate (MFC) from a gazette medical officer of the government clinic. The (MFC) should be at most 07 days before the date of Joining at Kautilya.

    Do I need to upload my CV in the application form?

    Yes, a duly updated CV in a .pdf format must be attached. The allowed file size is a maximum of 5 MB.

    When will I hear back on my job application?

    You are one of the leading and best public policy schools in India. We receive a high number of job applications. Depending upon the number of open positions and urgent hiring, you may expect us to review your application in the next 07 working days from the date of applying.

    How will I come to know that my job application is not shortlisted?

    If you are still waiting to hear back from us in 07 working days on open positions, we regret to inform you that there is a high chance your candidature doesn’t fit our requirements. Otherwise, please feel free to write to HR at careers@kautilya.org.in seeking clarity on your application status. Do mention the application number and Position applied in the email.

    Are non-INDIA citizens eligible for employment at Kautilya?

    Generally speaking, Kautilya does not sponsor Non-Indian citizens for employment. But yes, you may apply if you feel you will add value to the Kautilya ecosystem.

    How long does the hiring process take?

    The hiring process at Kautilya can take up to a few weeks but varies by position and hiring mandate.

    How will I know if I am being considered for a job?

    The hiring team will contact the shortlisted applicants via email.

    Can I delete the job application previously submitted at Kautilya?

    For compliance purposes, it is not possible to delete the previous application.

    Does Kautilya hire part-time/visiting faculties?

    Yes, we are glad to invite applications from experienced academic and industry professionals to work at Kautilya as visiting faculty.

    How can I contact the hiring manager and interview panel?

    For privacy protection reasons and equal employment opportunity, we do not provide hiring manager and interview panel contact information. But please don’t hesitate to write to HR at careers@kautilya.org to clarify your application status.

    Can I apply for multiple positions?

    You are eligible to apply for only 01 open position. Please be mindful before submitting your job application at Kautilya.

    When are background checks completed?

    Background checks will happen in 02 stages initially, when a candidate has been identified as a finalist for a position and has received an Offer letter. The second check will happen immediately after onboarding with your employers, education institutions, residences, and provided references.

    What if I don't want to share my most recent employer details?

    We will not be able to process your job application for screening. We will terminate your employment if you don’t turn all documents in original.

    What is the best format to label my attachments?

    It is recommended to label a document clearly so the hiring team knows what it is. For example, a UG certificate can be tagged as “Your First Name- Last Name | UG Certificate”.

    Who will be part of the interview panel?

    An interview panel will be decided depending on the position applied for. This includes an immediate Supervisor, Director/Dean, and HR representative. An external academic and industry professional may be asked to be part of the interview panel to gauge applicant candidature.

    How do I keep from getting pigeonholed in a particular role?

    During your employment at Kautilya, the ecosystem will ensure that both entry-level and experienced professionals get the opportunity to engage in various initiatives (subject to project availability). As your experience with Kautilya grows, you will see yourself impacted enough with better skills and hands-on diversified expertise.

    What’s the standard procedure for performance reviews at Kautilya?

    A formal, written performance review and a regular mid-year assessment are conducted annually. We discuss the tasks assigned, KRAs, KPIs, student success, feedback, initiatives taken, value-added, skills acquired, etc., in your role. The prime focus is to make you more resourceful and productive.
