DR. Sharique Hassan Manazir - Teaching and Research Expert In Public Policy Analysis & Formulation | Digital Democracy & Exclusion Studies

Sharique Hassan Manazir is a distinguished Policy Science scholar whose research encompasses public policy formulation, analysis, and evaluation, alongside digital democracy, governance regulations, and exclusion studies. He gained academic recognition for his novel theory on the public policy formulation process, which was published in a prestigious journal by Springer Nature. Dr Manazir earned his PhD from the Centre for Studies in Science Policy, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where his doctoral research explored the intricate dynamics of e-participation in shaping public policy.

 

His academic journey features publications in leading journals such as Springer Nature, Routledge, Elsevier, and UGC Care List journals, along with numerous research reports and working papers. He has been invited by renowned national and international institutions, including Humboldt Institute of Internet and Society in Berlin, ICTP Trieste in Italy, Lew Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, Centre for Studies in Science Policy, School of Social Sciences at the Jawaharlal Nehru University; Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia and Dublin City University in collaboration with the Digital Constitutionalism Network. Dr Manazir regularly contributes opinion pieces to esteemed platforms like LSE South Asia, News 18, and ABP News.

 

Additionally, he is a member of the Science and Democracy Network at Harvard University. Dr. Manazir also actively engages in academic affiliations and services, serving as an Area Editor for the Data & Policy Journal published by Cambridge University Press. Previously, at the Indian School of Business, he spearheaded government capacity-building initiatives for senior officials and elected representatives across various states. He played a pivotal role as one of the founding team members of the Parliamentary Support Programme, leading capacity-building initiatives for honorable MLAs, Ministers and senior government officials. Dr. Manazir also contributed to the implementation and training of the first cohort of the State Legislative Research Fellowship at ISB.
