Public policy is like crossing a river with the help of a bridge. In the above figure, the barren land with more people, and the green land with less people represent diverse communities with their respective disparate needs. And the flooded river represents the challenges faced by them. The bridge represents public policy.

Public policy is all about making the right policy by taking into account the multiple challenges faced by various stakeholders so that all can cross the river together.
